Viðareiði Smolt Facility

Bakkafrost is constructing a new smolt station at Viðareiði. This new smolt station is part of the effort to increase the size of the smolt before it is placed in the sea. The new smolt station is approximately 6,000 m2 in size and includes two tank halls, filter systems, and an administrative building. SMJ has been responsible for the electrical and HVAC installations, as well as communication with authorities in the electricity supply area. SMJ has also designed a generator system for the station.
