Strond Smolt Facility

Bakkafrost has constructed a smolt station at Strond. This smolt station is part of the initiative to increase the size of the smolt before it is placed in the sea. The new smolt station has nearly 60 tanks capable of holding up to 30,000 m³ of water.

SMJ has been responsible for fire safety consulting, all installation works, including the project management of the installations, coordination and consulting in relation to client deliveries, design of electrical and piping systems, including sea water cooling systems, fish transport, and light simulations.
