Den 17. juni 2011 underskrev FAERPORT en aftale med V\u00e1ga Lufthavn om at st\u00e5 for totalr\u00e5dgivningen, da terminalen skulle projekteres og udbydes. Inspirationen til den nye terminal hos P\/F V\u00e1ga Lufthavn kommer fra de britiske barakker, der blev bygget p\u00e5 F\u00e6r\u00f8erne under krigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Den karakteristiske bue, som barakkerne havde, er moderniseret, og samtidig ser terminalen ud som en international afgangshal. Udover terminalen bygges der en servicebygning, som skal huse administrationen for V\u00e1ga Lufthavn, Atlantic Airways, Posta og Taks. En del af servicebygningen er en brandstation og garager til snerydningsmaskiner.
